Our History

The Summit Story

2003

A New Beginning

Zohar Levy gained control over Summit; a company founded in 1965. Israeli insurance companies and institutional investors joined as shareholders.

2005-2007

Strategic growth

~€2.5-3.0B in German acquisitions. Summit Properties Ltd. listed in London;

~€350M raised. Acquisition of Deutsche Real Estate AG (Frankfurt).

2008-2009

Platform expansion

Internal management platform built out in Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg.

2014-2020

Continued growth

~€500M of additional German investments.

2021-2022

International explansion

Sale of ~€1.0B German portfolio. Entry into the U.S. with >$1B invested in NYC residential and retail across the United States.

2023

Scaling the U.S. platform

Ongoing acquisitions, refinancing, selective dispositions, and U.S. team growth.

2024-2025

In-house operations

Launch of the internal management platform for the U.S. retail portfolio and a new corporate office in New York City.
