Our History

2003: A New Beginning

Zohar Levy gained control over Summit; a company founded in 1965. Israeli insurance companies and institutional investors joined as shareholders.

2005-2007: Strategic Growth

Our company embarked on a journey of real estate acquisitions totaling approximately €2.5-3 billion in Germany during this period.

Summit Properties Ltd. was first issued in London and successfully raised equity of approximately €350 million.

We made a significant move by acquiring Deutsche Real Estate AG, a publicly traded company on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, solidifying our presence in the German market.

2008-2009: Expanding Horizons

During this time, we expanded our internal management platform in key German cities such as Berlin, Frankfurt, and Hamburg.

2014-2020: Continued Growth

Our commitment to expansion led to further real estate investments of approximately €500 million in Germany.

2021-2022: International Expansion

We successfully sold a €1.0 billion portfolio of properties in Germany, marking a significant achievement in our journey.

Summit made a strategic entry into the US real estate market, with investments exceeding $1 billion in residential buildings in NYC and retail properties across the United States.

2023: The Ongoing Pursuit

Our focus remains on continuous growth, with ongoing acquisitions, refinancing, the strategic disposition of non-core assets, and the expansion of our talented management team in the United States.

2024–2025: Scaling In-House Operations

Summit launched its internal management platform for its U.S. retail portfolio and opened a new corporate office in New York City, marking a shift to in-house operations and a stronger national presence.
